In 1973 the Village of South River and the Township of Machar joined together and formed the South River-Machar Union Public Library. We serve approximately 2000 people in the beautiful and vibrant community of South River and surrounding areas. Our Library may be small but we are a very busy and important place for our patrons. We offer books, dvds, magazines, audio and ebooks, computer and wifi access, snowshoe rental, photocopying, faxing and so many other services! Our weekly Tales for Toddlers is very popular as well as our bi-weekly After School Club. We are part of Central Almaguin Lifelong Learning Experiences (CALLE) which provides multiple adult learning programs across the region.
